BOSTON, MASS. 3/1/08 - Keene State continued to add to its list of All-New England honors following Saturday's final day of the 40th New England All-Division Track and Field Championships held at Boston University.
Senior Jenn Adams finished second in the 3,000-meter race with a time of 9:37.98. The Owls' 4x800 relay team of sophomores Katelyn Carr (Scituate, Mass.) and Kimber Stannard (Higganum, Conn.), freshman Amy Knoblock (Plymouth, Mass.), and senior Krystin Gavin (Brimfield, Mass.), finish eighth with a time of 9:32.52.
In field events, senior Crystal Blamy (Walpole, N.H.) placed fourth in the high jump with a mark of 5'-08.75. She improved on her NCAA Division III qualifying mark by an inch and a half.
Keene State finished 16th in the 30-team field with 16 points. UConn. captured the team championship with 155 points.
In the men's competition, senior Kevin Kelleher (Rocky Hill, Conn.) and freshman Craig MacPherson (Derry, N.H.) improved on their national qualifying positions in the mile. MacPherson finished third with a time of 4:10.44 and Kelleher was two spots back in fifth (4:10.89). The KSC 4x800 relay team of Pat Craven (North Kingstown, R.I.),, freshmen Jeff Trethewey (Merrimack, N.H.) and MacPherson, and Kelleher set a school record with their third place finish (7:41.79) in the race.
The Owls finished in 10th place with 22 points. UConn also claimed the men's title with 168 points.
