WRENTHAM, MASS. 8/30/08 - The Keene State women's volleyball
team opened its season by finishing third at the Gordon College
tournament on Saturday.
The Owls lost to top ranked MIT 3-1 (13-25, 25-19, 21-25 and
15-25) before coming back to defeat Gordon 3-1 (25-18, 25-23,
23-25, and 25-16) and Wheaton College 3-2 (25-15, 21-25, 22-35,
25-20 and 15-8).

O'Bryant and freshman hitter Bridget
O'Bryant, both from Merrimack, N.H. junior defensive
specialist Sarah Peterson (Danville, N.H.) had
strong performances for the Owls.
Against MIT, Bridget had seven kills and Peterson had 25 digs.
In the match against Gordon, Bridget and Brittany had 17 and
12 kills respectively and Peterson added 27 digs. In the
final match of the day against Wheaton, Brittany had 17 kills and
Bridget finished with 14 kills and Peterson contributed 21 digs.
The Owls (2-1) host Southern New Hampshire on Wednesday at
Spaulding Gym (7 p.m.).
