KEENE, N.H. 1/25/09 - A split squad of Keene State track
athletes competed at the Wesleyan Cardinal and Boston University
Terrier Classic this weekend.
At Boston University, sophomore Craig
MacPherson (Derry, N.H.) raced to an NCAA Division III
championship automatic qualifying and personal record time
(4:09.70) with his 10th place finish in the mile.
Sophomore Bryan Kolacz (Brentwood, N.H.) also
placed fifth (56'-04.75") in the weight throw event.
At Wesleyan, junior Christina Bourbeau
(Manchester, N.H.) broke her own school record in the pole vault
with a jump of 10'-06.00. Her previous mark was
10'-0.75". She also finished second in the 400 (1:03.24).
Sophomore Bryanna Brown (Nashua, N.H.) won the
shot put competition with a throw of 37'-09.50" and junior
Kaley Griffin (Manchester, N.H.) placed fourth in
the 55-meter hurdles (9.42).
In the men's field, junior Jeff Goupil
(Barrington, N.H.) was fifth in the 5,000 (16:32.23), freshman
Elias Grijalva was sixth in the 400 (52.73)and
sophomore Nick White (Westbrook, Conn.) placed
sixth and seventh respectively in the weight throw (39'-09.25) and
shot put (41'-05.25") events.
