EAST MEADOW, N.Y. 12/5/09 - The Keene State
College men's swimming and diving team competed in the second day
of the 2009 ECAC Division III Swimming & Diving Championships
hosted by the Nassau County Aquatic Center in East Meadow, N.Y.
Senior Domingo Rose (Nashua, N.H.) claimed the
ECAC title in the 200 and 100 breaststroke with school record and
NCAA Provisional times of 2:07.38 and 58.18.
Rose also swam to a fourth place finish in the 100 free (47.72).
Junior Connor Pennoyer (Norwalk, Conn.) took
second in the 100 free (47.42) and fifth in the 200 fly (201.66).
Sophomore Harrison Hollingsworth (Derry, N.H.)
placed third in the 100 back (53.76) and fifth in the 200 back
(1:58.15) on day two of the ECAC's.
Freshman Marc Marois (Derry, N.H.) rounds out
the Owls who placed in the top five, with a fifth place finish in
the 200 breast.
As a team, KSC placed second in the 800 free relay (7:23.53)
with Hollingsworth, Dan Morse (Hope, R.I.),
Pat Luciano (Warren, N.J.) and Lucas
Pozzetta (Merrimack, N.H.) doing the swimming.
In the diving event, sophomore Derek Peabody (Haverhill,
Mass.) cracked the top ten with a ninth place finish in
the one meter dive.
The men will continue to compete at the ECAC's on Sunday
starting at 10 a.m.
