EAST MEADOW, N.Y. 12/5/09 - The Keene State
College men's swimming and diving team finished third with 1,089
points at the 2009 ECAC Division III Swimming & Diving
Championships hosted by the Nassau County Aquatic Center in East
Meadow, N.Y. The third and final day was highlighted by junior
Connor Pennoyer's (Norwalk, Conn.) first place
finish in the 50 free (21.46).
The Owls started the day off with a second place finish in the
400 medley relay (3:31.92) with the team of Harrison
Hollingsworth (Derry, N.H.), Domingo Rose (Nashua,
N.H.), Pennoyer, and Austin Harris (Essex
Junction, Vt.). Later on in the day KSC also placed second
in the 400 free relay (312.19) with Pennoyer, Lucas
Pozzetta (Merrimack, N.H.), Dan Morse (Hope,
R.I.), and Rose doing the swimming.
Morse also placed third in the 500 free with a time of 4:46.59.
In the 200 IM, freshman Marc Marois (Derry, N.H.)
swam to a fourth place finish in 1:59.77.
Rose also swam to a second place finish in the 50 free in 21.56.
Stevens Institute of Technology won the team title with 1,555.50
points.
