The 20 points scored by UMB, (nine in the first half and 11 in the second half) is the fewest given up by the Owls.

The Owls (11-5, 4-3 LEC) were led by sophomore guard Sara Laudano (North Haven, Conn.) who finished with 15 points.  Senior guard Alyssa Sapp (Hartford, Vt.) scored 11 points and senior forward Nicole Simmler (Oxford, Mass.) added 10 points. Five players finished the game with six rebounds.

Freshman guard Kate Levy (Falmouth, Mass.) had six points for UMB, which shot 7-53 (13%) from the field in the game.

The Owls scored the first 17 points in the game and never looked back. Sapp and Laudano each had five points during the opening run.  The Beacons didn't hit their first field goals until Levy had a conventional three-point play at the 8:46 mark of the first half.

Keene State led 30-9 at halftime.  The Owls began the second half with an 8-0 run to go up 38-9.

Prior to the game, KSC honored Coach Keith Boucher for reaching the 300th career victory milestone last week against UMass-Dartmouth and presented a ball to senior Kristin Degou (Newburyport, Mass.) to commemorate her 1,000th career point scored earlier this season against Goucher College.

At halftime of the game, KSC celebrated 40 years of intercollegiate women's basketball at the College.

Both teams play road LEC games on Tuesday.  The Owls are at Plymouth State and the Beacons go to Southern Maine.
