10/1/10 – The Keene State College women's volleyball
team extended its winning streak to seven matches with a pair of
victories at the Oneonta (N.Y.) State Invitational on Friday
night.
The Owls (11-6)
defeated Hartwick College 3-0 (25-12, 25-12, 25-23) and SUNY
Institute of Technology 3-0 (25-18, 25-13, 25-21).
Juniors Kristen Girard
(Red Hook, N.Y.) and Ellyse Davis
(Londonderry, N.H.) led the KSC offense against Hartwick with
11 and 10 kills respectively. Senior Jamie Levine
(Medfield, Mass.) had 21 digs and junior setter Laurie Whalen
(Niantic, Conn.) finished with 29 assists.
Davis had 13
kills and Girard finished with 11 kills against SUNYIT.
Whalen had 26 assists and Levine chipped in with 14 digs.
Sophomore Ali
Facchini (Niantic, Conn.) added seven block assists in
the match.
On
Saturday, Keene State has matches against Rochester Institute of
Technology and host Oneonta State.
