BOSTON,
MASS. 10/7/10 – The Keene State College women's
volleyball team swept a three-game non-conference match against
Emmanuel College in Boston on Thursday night.
The game scores were 25-19, 25-13,
and 25-23.
Junior Bridget
O'Bryant (Merrimack, N.H.) led the offense with 12 kills. Junior Kristen
Girard (Red Hook, N.Y.) filled up the box score with 11kills,
two service aces and a school-record tying eight block assists.
Junior setter Laurie Whalen
(Niantic, Conn.) directed the offense with 31 assists.
The Owls played strong team defense
with four players making key contributions. Senior Jamie Levine
(Medfield, Mass.) tallied 21 digs while junior Madison McHugh
(New Hyde Park, N.Y.) and senior Sammy Datti
(Durham, N.H.) each finished with 10. Freshman Emma Cheal (Redding,
Conn.) came off the bench to notch nine kills.
Keene State
improves to 13-8 on the season while Emmanuel falls to
7-10.
The Owls return
home for a tri-match with Brandeis and Colby-Sawyer on
Saturday.
