WALTHAM, MASS. 2/14/10 - Keene State College's
Derek Peabody earned All-New England honors with
his fifth place finish in the three-meter diving event at the
NEISDA Swimming and Diving Championships at Bentley College on
Sunday.
Peabody, a sophomore from Haverhill, Mass., tallied 306.35
points for his fifth place finish. Matt Fahey of
UMass-Dartmouth won the event with 396.25 points.
In the women's field, junior Rachel Battis
(Beacon Falls, Conn.) and freshman Jaclyn Rando
(Walpole, Mass.) failed to qualify for the finals in the
three-meter event.
After the two-day diving event, the KSC men are in fourth place
with 18 points. UMass-Dartmouth is on top with 58
points. The KSC women are in fifth place with 33
points. Westfield State leads with 125 points.
The swimming portion of the championships takes place next
weekend (Feb. 19-21) at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center in White
River Junction, Vt.
