HANOVER, N.H. 2/6/10 - Keene State College junior Allison
Chamberlain (Scarborough, Maine) and senior Jared Samuel
(Londonderry, N.H.) raced to wins at the Dartmouth Indoor
Track Classic at the Leverone Field House on Saturday.
Chamberlain improved her NCAA Championship provisional qualifying
time (2:13.37) with her first place finish in the 800-meter race.
It's the top time in the event so far this season in Division III.
Freshman Maggie Fitter (Branford, Conn.) was third
in the race with a time of 2:18.93.
Samuel had a pair of fine performances, wining the 3,000-meter race
(8:41.12) and placing fifth in the mile with a personal best time
of 4:20.34.
Junior Amy Knoblock (Plymouth, Mass.) finished
fifth in the 500 (1:20.93).
In field events, junior Bryan Kolacz (Brentwood,
N.H.) was third in the weight throw with a mark of
58'-08.75".
The Owls compete at the Little East Alliance championship next
Saturday at Southern Maine.
