NORTHAMPTON, MASS. 3/6/10 - Several Keene State athletes competed at the ECAC Division III Track and Field Championships at Smith College in Northampton, Mass. on Saturday.
Junior Bryan Kolacz (Brentwood, N.H.) scored the only points for the Owls with his fifth place finish in the weight throw (54'-05.25").
On the track, junior Eric MacKnight (Newtown, Conn.) placed ninth in the 5,000 with a time of 15:19.89.
In the women's field, freshman Maggie Fitters (Branford, Conn.) finished ninth in the 800 (2:18.87) and sophomore Sarah Titus (Derry, N.H.) was 16th (3:12.59) in the 1,000-meter race.
Ithaca College won both the men's (52.25 points) and women's (64.50 points) team championships.
Junior Ally Chamberlain (Scarborough, Maine) and Kolacz will compete next weekend at the NCAA Division III Indoor track and Field Championships at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana.
