Box Score 2 PROVIDENCE, R.I. 9/11/10 – The Keene State College
women's volleyball team split its two matches at the Johnson
& Wales University Invitational on Saturday.
The Owls (4-5) began the day by defeating Wheaton College 3-1
(25-12, 25-16, 23-25, 25-19). Playing her first match of the
season, junior Bridget O'Bryant (Merrimack, N.H.) had 18
kills while junior Ellyse Davis (Londonderry, N.H.) finished with
11 kills and seven blocks. Junior setter Laurie Whalen
(Niantic, Conn.) had 22 assists and 19 digs.
Keene State dropped its second match of the day to host Johnson
& Wales 3-1 (19-25, 18-25, 25-23, 15-25). O'Bryant
had 12 kills and eight digs while senior Jamie Levine (Medfield,
Mass.), who was named to the All-Tournament team, finished with 13
digs.
Keene State is at Wesleyan University on Wednesday (7 p.m.).
