BOSTON, MASS. 1/28/11 – Several Keene State athletes competed at Boston's University's Terrier Track Classic on Friday night.
Sophomore Maggie Fitter (Branford, Conn.) posted the top performance by the Owls, finishing eighth in the 800-meter race with a time of 2:16.79. Senior Amy Knoblock (Plymouth, Mass.) placed 11th in the mile (4:59.10) and junior Andrea Walsh (Bolton, Conn.) was 27th in the 5,000 (18:01.96). Knoblock's mark in the mile was an NCAA provisional qualifying time.
In field events, sophomore Janel Haggerty (Guilford, Conn.) finished 13th in the high jump with a mark of 4'-10.25". Sophomore Whitney Cyr (Milford, Mass.) placed 25th in the weight throw (38'-9.50") and 28th in the shot-put (35'-0.3.75").
