Box Score WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS. 9/11/12 – The Keene State
College field hockey team dropped a 3-1 non-conference game to
Williams College in Williamstown, Mass. on Tuesday night.
It was the second straight loss for the Owls (2-3) against a
NESCAC opponent and the third consecutive setback for the
team. It's the first time since the 2004 season that KSC has
lost three games in a row. Williams (2-0) remains
undefeated.
Lexie Brackenridge and Caitlin Conlon scored first half goals
for the Ephs. Sophomore forward Marisa
Lemoine (Berlin, N.H.) scored an unassisted goal, her second of
the season, for the Owls two minutes into the second half to make
it a 2-1 game.
Conlon's second goal of the game made it 3-1 at the 55:00
mark
Williams outshot the Owls 19-6 and had a 12-3 advantage in
penalty corners.
Sophomore Caitlin
Davino-Draper (Hanover, Mass.) finished the game with seven
saves for KSC. Ariana Spilotes made five saves for the
Ephs.
Keene State returns to LEC play on Saturday (10 a.m.) when it
travels to Fitchburg State.
