"They came out stronger than we did in the second half and got three goals, but I thought the rest of the game was evenly matched," said KSC junior captain Aimee Donaruma (Hampden, Mass.). "The score doesn't really reflect the way we played today."
Both turned in strong defensive plays later in the half. Bantam sophomore defender Sophie Doering (Darien Conn.) made a defensive save on a shot by Owl freshman forward Lyndsie Rabenius (North Hampton, N.H.).
KSC sophomore back Marisa Benson (Groton, Mass.) broke up a three-on-one break by Trinity in the final minute of play.

Keene State returns to Little East Conference play on Saturday (1:30 p.m.) when it hosts Southern Maine.
