Box Score 2 KEENE, N.H. 9/8/12 – The Keene State College women's volleyball team dropped both its matches at the Johnson and Wales University tournament in Providence on Saturday.
Keene State (2-5) lost its opening match to host Johnson and Wales 3-1
(14-25, 22-25, 25-22, and 25-27) and dropped a three game match to Springfield College (20-25, 15-25 and 20-25).
A pair of freshmen turned in strong performances for the Owls in the two matches. Angela Silveri (Poughquag, N.Y.) had 13 kills and six digs against Johnson and Wales and 10 kills and five digs against Springfield. Setter Alexis Michal (Windham, N.H.) tallied 17 assists and 20 digs against Johnson and Wales and 15 assists against Springfield.
Keene State is at Emmanuel College on Thursday (7 p.m.)
