Box Score SPRINGFIELD, MASS. 10/17/13 – The Keene State women's volleyball team lost a four set non-conference match to Western New England University in Springfield, Mass. on Thursday night.
The Owls (13-11) dropped the first two sets 17-25 and 12-25 before coming back to take the third set 25-23. The Golden Bears (15-5) won the deciding fourth set 25-23.
Sophomore Angela Silveri (Poughquag, N.Y.) led the Owls with 11 kills, 14 digs and one block. Classmate Catherine Kazazian (Merrimack, N.H.) had eight kills while sophomore Olivia Broderick (Gilford, N.H.) finished with seven kills and seven digs.
Sophomore Kaitlin Boyer (West Greenwich, R.I.) had a team-high 15 digs while classmate Alexis Michal (Windham, N.H.) added 18 assists.
Sophomore Kelsey Armstrong (Groton, Conn.) led WNEU with 15 kills, eight digs and two blocks.
Keene State will compete in the Little East/NEWMAC Challenge on Saturday at Mount Holyoke College, facing the host school and Smith College.
