Box Score PLATTSBURGH, NY. 12/3/13 – The Keene State College men's basketball team dropped a 109-76 non-conference game to Plattsburgh State at Memorial Hall on Tuesday night.
The Owls (0-5) remain winless while the Cardinals improve to 3-1.
Keene State was led by sophomore Nate Howard (Cheshire, Conn.) who scored 19 points and had six rebounds. Howard connected on seven of his 12 shots from the field. Classmate Tre' Tipton (Stamford, Conn.) had 14 points while freshmen Matt Sherlock (Melrose, Mass.) and Lucas Hammel (Methuen, Mass.) each had 10 points. Hammel also dished out five assists in the game.
Keen State fell behind early and never recovered. With the score tied four-all, the Cardinals went on a 28-4 run, taking a 32-8 lead on a three-pointer by McIntosh. KSC trailed 59-17 at the half.
Plattsburgh shot 56% (36-64) from the field, connected on seven of its 16 three-pointers (44%) and went 30-40 (75%) at the line. They also controlled the boards 51-26.
The Owls return home on Thursday (7 p.m.) for a game against Colby-Sawyer College.
