SPRINGFIELD, MASS. 3/2/13 – Keene State College
junior Josh Tuller (Plainview, N.Y.) came up short
in his bid to qualify for the NCAA Division III Diving
championships.
Competing at the NCAA Division III Regional Diving Championships
at Springfield College this weekend, Tuller placed 15 out 18
competitors in the one-meter event with 381.80 points on
Saturday. On Friday, he tallied 398.30 points to finish 16
out of 18 divers in the three-meter competition.
Johann Schmidt, a junior from Tufts University won both
one-meter (543.20 points) and three-meter (588.95 points).
Tuller was hoping to join Diana Robbins as the only Keene State
divers to qualify for a national championship meet. Robbins,
a 1984 KSC grad and a member of College's Hall of Fame,
competed at two AIAW meets and two NCAA Division II Championships
during her four-year (1980-84) career.
