Owls Sweep Tri-Match Over UMass Dartmouth, Framingham St.

KEENE, N.H. - The Keene State women's Volleyball team picked up a pair of wins over UMass Dartmouth and Framingham State Saturday afternoon in their Dig Pink event at Spaulding Gymnasium. 

Against, UMass Dartmouth, KSC won by set scores of 25-9, 25-20, 25-7 to improve to 15-15 overall and 4-1 in Little East Conference play. With the loss, the Corsairs fall to 10-15 and 0-5 in conference.

Madeleine Nossiff posted an impressive .600 hitting percentage with 10 kills, followed by Christine Hadfield's .545 hitting percentage and six kills. Setters Brooke Bell and Alexis Michal combined for 29 assists while Leslie Hearns led the Owls defense with six digs. 

For the Corsairs, Eliza Bowes had a team-high five kills, Christina Spinazola totaled 10assists and Brianna Perry registered 13 digs. 

In their second game against Framingham State, KSC avenged a 3-0 loss that came earlier this to the Rams by winning by scores of 25-22, 25-8, 25-12.

As a team, the Owls hit .350 led by Nossiff's 10 kills. Bell and Michal set up the offense well combining for 32 assists. Michal and Hearns each finished with eight digs.

Keene State's defense limited the Rams to a .116 hitting percentage. Alycia Rackliffe finished the match with nine kills, setter Maribeth Martin totaled 14 assists and Julia Wan led FSU (20-10) with eight digs. 

Keene State (16-15) will look to maintain their four-game conference win streak Tuesday night at Southern Maine at 7 p.m.
