Owls Cruise to 3-0 LEC Win Over Plymouth State

KEENE, N.H. - The Keene State College women's volleyball team rolled to its sixth consecutive victory over Plymouth State on Tuesday evening, 3-0, in a LEC match played in Spaulding Gymnasium.

KSC improves to 11-13 (2-1 LEC) with the win while the Panthers drop to 7-11 (1-2 LEC). Keene State won by game scores 25-11, 25-21, 25-11, limiting the visitors to a negative attack percentage.

The Owls got off to a great start in the first set jumping out to a 14-1 lead en route to the 25-11 game one victory. In set two, the Panthers held a 11-7 lead before an Owls run of six-straight points gave the momentum back to the home team. KSC would again take a commanding lead of 10-1 in the third set as they finished off the Panthers by a final score of 25-11. 

Madeleine Nossif hit .500 with 10 kills to lead the Owls, while setter Alexis Michal totaled 17 assists and nine digs. Rachel Lamica recorded nine kills and four service aces in the win. Leslie Hearns had a team high 18 digs. 

Brianna Wojtas had six kills and Brenna Peruch finished with 16 digs to lead the Panthers. Setter Kirsten Perrotta totaled 12 assists in the loss.

The Owls return to action Saturday, October 11 against Western Connecticut State (12pm) and Framingham State (2pm). Both games will played in Danbury, Conn. The Panthers travel to Union, New Jersey this weekend to participate in the Kean Tournament.
