Box Score PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Keene State College volleyball team completed their Little East Conference schedule Saturday afternoon with a 3-0 win over Rhode Island College. In their second match of the day, the Owls swept Eastern Nazarene.
The Owls clinched the second seed and a first round bye in the upcoming Little East Conference Women's Volleyball Tournament.
Game 1: Keene State 3 Rhode Island College 0 (25-14, 25-20, 25-23)
Junior middle blocker Madeleine Nossiff led the Owls with seven kills, while setters Brooke Bell and junior Alexis Michal combined for 29 assists for the match. Junior middle hitter Michelle Malboeuf led the Anchorwomen with nine kills and eight digs, while freshman setter Abigayl White chipped in 23 assists and 11 digs.
Game 2: Keene State 3 Eastern Nazarene 0 (25-15, 25-21, 22-25, 25-20)
Michal tallied a team-high 16 assists, while junior outside hitter Angela Silveri recorded a match-high seven kills to go along with four service aces and four digs. The Lions were led by senior outside hitter Kourtney Jenkins, who finished with 11 kills and five digs. Sophomore setter Lauryl Berger finished with a match-high 20 assists.
KSC enters the postseaosn with a 20-15 overall record and 6-1 in LEC play.
