HANOVER, N.H.--Senior Ryan Widzgowski (Camden, Maine) won the 1,000 meter run and the 1-mile at the Dartmouth Indoor Classic at Leverone Field House on Saturday.
In a meet that featured NCAA Division I and II competition, Widzgowski topped the field in the 1,000 meters in 2:29.56, edging out Franklin Pierce's Dage Minors by .05 seconds. Widzgowski also posted a victory in the 1-mile, clocking in at 4:13.20.
Ben Keach (Newfield, N.H.), took home seventh place in the shot put with a toss of 13.60 meters, and finished eighth in the weight throw (13.91 meters).
On the women's side, Allison Brady (Weymouth, Mass.) set a new season best time with an eighth place finish in the 400 meter run in 1:03.31, as did Kristin O'Connell (Flourtown, Pa.) in the 200 meter dash (30.84). Lindsey Terry (Strafford, N.H.) placed seventh in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:26.76.
In the field events, Lucia Martin (Swanzey, N.H.) took sixth in the pole vault with a leap of 2.75 meters, and Sarah DiTonno (Wakefield, Mass.) placed seventh in the shot put with a throw of 11.52 meters.
Keene State will be back in action at the Terrier Invite at Boston University on Feb. 7-8.
