Box Score NEWPORT NEWS, VA. – The Keene State volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (14-25, 11-25, 12-25) non-conference match to Christopher Newport University Friday afternoon in the first game of the season for both teams. The Owls fall to 0-1, while the Captains are 1-0 on the season.
Samantha Branning who totaled six kills, and Brooke Bell collected eight assists to lead KSC. Alexis Michal was the team leader with seven digs.
The Captains, led by Briana Sutton and Hannah Miller, tallied 11 kills each, while Rachel Conway added a match high 28 assists.
The Owls next match is tonight at 6 pm against Washington and Lee University as part of the Captains Classic at Christopher Newport University. CNU hosts Washington and Lee at 8 pm.
