PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Keene State College opened the Wildcat Classic on the campus of Johnson & Wales University with a 3-0 sweep over University of New England Friday afternoon. The Owls were pushed in the first set as they finished with 26-24, 25-22 and 25-17 decisions.

Angela Silveri led the Owls (3-6) with nine kills and 10 digs, while Alexis Michal and Brooke Bell supported the balanced attack with 15 and 11 assists, repsectively. In addition to six kills, Madeleine Nossiff was involved with four of the team's seven blocks.

Grayson Szczepaniak hit .444 and had 10 kills for the Nor'easters (2-4). Leah Janelle added seven kills, Kristen Falcinelli tallied 18 assists, and Nikki Mathewson registered 12 digs.

Keene State will take on the host Wildcats later this evening.
