Box Score PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Keene State women's volleyball team fell to Amherst College 3-0 (22-25, 22-25, 21-25) Saturday morning in game three of the Johnson & Wales University Invitational.
Angela Silveri's nine kills led the Owls, while Samantha Branning and Madeleine Nossiff each recorded seven kills. Katie Cunningham and Leslie Hearns combined for 26 digs and Brooke Bell and Alexis Michal each tallied 12 assists.
For the Lord Jeffs, Maggie Danner led all hitters with 10 kills, while Nicole Gould and Marialexa Natsis added nine and six kills respectively. Asha Warshaw notched a match-best 17 digs.
In addition to her six kills, Natsis registered four solo blocks and Lauren Antion added three solo stuffs for Amherst.
Keene State's record now stands at 4-7, while Amherst improves to 5-2. The two teams will meet in the Wildcat Invitational Championship match this afternoon.
