Box Score NASHUA, N.H. - The Keene St. volleyball team held set leads of 1-0 and 2-1 en route to a five-set victory over Plymouth St. Saturday afternoon in the final game of the Granite State Challenge. KSC prevailed with set scores of 25-13, 17-25, 25-12, 20-25 and 15-6 in a match that only saw 10 combined ties and only four combined lead changes.
Madeleine Nossiff led the Owls with 13 kills, while Angela Silveri knocked down nine and pulled in a team-best 20 digs. Samantha Branning added eight kills, while Brooke Bell racked up six service aces and picked up 26 assists.
Plymouth was led by 13 kills from Katie Sylvia and Mikki Taffe notched 10. Both Brianna Wojtas and Jana Nieman chipped in with eight kills apiece.
Brenna Peruch was solid in the backcourt for PSU registering a match-high 23 digs with Kirsten Perrotta finishing with 30 assists.
Keene edged the Panthers 44-43 in total kills but a 13-4 advantage in aces and the Owls .101 hitting to .061 for the Panthers was the difference.
Silveri was named to the All-Tournament Team and Nossiff was recognized as a Co-MVP.
The Owls host UMass Boston Thursday at 6 p.m. in a Little East Conference tilt.
