Box Score KEENE, N.H. - The Keene State volleyball team beat Eastern Connecticut State, 3-1 for their first Little East Conference win of the season. The Owls (8-11, 1-1 LEC) won by set scores of 25-13, 26-28, 26-24 and 25-17).
After splitting the first two games, the Warriors jumped out to a 10-4 lead in set three on an attack error by the Owls. Down 24-17, KSC maintained their compsure and rattled off nine straight points to win the third set. Tied at 15-15 in the fourth, the home team outscored Eastern Connecticut 10-2 down the stretch for the 25-17 win.
Angela Silveri and Alexis Michal each recorded double-doubles to lead the Owls. Silveri hit .333 with 17 kills and 17 digs, while Michal handed out 21 assists and 14 digs. Brooke Bell tallied 18 assists and Katie Cunningham chipped in 13 digs.
The Warriors (7-7, 1-1) were led by Adrianna Mihalek and Kay Mullen who each recorded 10 kills. Allie Henry recorded a double-double with 19 assists and 10 digs.
The Owls take on Bowdoin College this afternoon at 4 p.m.
