DANBURY, Conn. - The Keene State College women's basketball team dropped a 43-50 LEC game ro Western Connecticut State Tuesday night.

After trailing 24-23 at the break, Western, now 10-3 overall and 2-2 in the Little East Conference, held KSC to 19 points over the final 20 minutes and 26 percent (7-of-27) shooting from the field.

The teams shared the lead twice in the opening 7:55 of the second half before both squads were deadlocked, 33-33 following a layup from Courtney Robersts.

Kaitlyn LaBonte canned a three-pointer from the left corner at the 6:35 mark to contribute to Western's five-point run, 38-33.

Sophomore guard Samantha Smith hit a long three 2:17 later to close out a 20-11 run for the winners.
