Owls Take The Sting Out Of Hornets On Senior Night

KEENE, N.H.--The Keene State College volleyball team went out with a bang on Thursday night, posting a dominant 3-0 (25-10, 25-8, 25-11) win over Lyndon State College at Spaulding Gym.

Before the game, seniors Cat Kazazian, Alexis Michal, Madeleine Nossif, Angela Silveri, and Christine Hadfield were honored.  Keene State improves to 20-8 this year, the third consecutive year the program has reached 20 wins.  

The Hornets fall to 7-12.

Nossif recorded a whopping .692 hitting percentage, with nine kills against no errors on 13 attempts, with four digs and a solo block.  Michal served up 20 assists.

Keene State ran out to a 12-1 lead in the first set and never looked back, establishing early advantages in all three sets.  The Owls recorded 14 service aces, including consecutive aces by Silveri to close out the second set, and four in a row by Rachel Lamica in the third.

Defensively, KSC got seven digs from Silveri and five from Lamica while holding Lyndon State to -.155 hitting for the game.

The Owls close out the regular season on the road, heading to UMass Dartmouth for a tri-match with Salem State that begins at 4 p.m.
