NEW YORK, N.Y.--The Keene State swimming and diving teams concluded competition at the non-scoring NYU Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
The 200 medley relay team of Bobby McDowell, Nathan Shepard, Luke Sprague, and Greg Youngstrom hit an NCAA B-Cut to win in 1:32.91, as did Cole Hogg, who captured the 200 freestyle in 1:39.93.
Shepard recorded an individual win in the 100 breaststroke, making a B-cut time in 57.33. Christopher DiGiacomo won the 100 back, with a time of 52.33 to win by a mere .03 seconds.
Youngstrom and Sprague went 1-2 in the 50 free, with Youngstrom edging his teammate by less than a second winning in 20.87.
Youngstrom also was part of the winning 400 freestyle relay team, with DiGiacomo, Hogg, and Ryan Boraski in 3:05.96.
The women's grouping of Hope Walsh, Diana Pimer, Caity Shea, and Allison Bartlett captured the 800 free relay, with a dominating, 20 second win in 7:45.16. Walsh also won the 500 free, in 5:11.76, while Pimer did the same in the 200 IM in 2:08.82.
Bartlett hit an NCAA B-Cut time in the 50 free in 23.66.
The Owls return to the pool on February 13, at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Championships at the University of Rhode Island.
