SHENANDOAH, Texas--Keene State College juniors Shahar Resman and Alison Bartlett both swam to All-America honors on the first day of the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships at the Conroe Natatorium on Wednesday.
Resman placed fourth in the 500 freestyle in 4:24.68. It was the fifth All-American honor in his career, after earning the honor in the 1,650 free and 800 free relay as both a freshman and a sophomore. Resman was also an honorable mention All-American in the 500 free his freshman year.
Bartlett finished third in an extremely tight 50 freestyle. Touching the wall in 23.03, Bartlett was less than .20 seconds behind the winner. She becomes the first female swimming All-American since 2011.
The meet continues tomorrow with both Bartlett and Resman participating in the 200 freestyle.
