NEW YORK, N.Y.--The Keene State College women's 4x800 meter relay team picked up a win as both the men's and women's track and field squads competed at the ECAC Championships at the Armory in New York City today.
The relay team of Lauren Markoe, Katelyn Terry, Allison Brady, and Lindsey Terry won in 9:32.76 for a nearly three second win over Stockton University to pick up All-ECAC honors.
Katelyn Terry added an individual All-ECAC honor to her name by finishing third in the 500 meter run in 1:16.16. Kaley Mientkiewicz did the same in the 5,000 meters, setting a season best time in 18:16.63 to finish sixth.
For the KSC men, the 4x400 relay team of Eric Dietz, Quentin Bazarnicki, Devin Sanford, and James Stergis-Cox just missed out on All-ECAC honors with a ninth place finish in 3:23.63, a race where three places were decided by less than half a second.
On Friday night, KSC sent a distance medley relay team to the Tufts Last Chance meet. Katelyn Terry, Lindsey Terry, Markoe, and Kait Wheeler finished in 12:06.59, a time that is currently 16th in NCAA Division III.
NCAA Championship selections are expected to be announced soon. The championships will take place March 21-23 at St. Lawrence University.
