KEENE, N.H. - The Keene State women's volleyball team went 1-1 on day two of the Granite State Challenge Saturday afternoon at Spaulding Gymnasium.
Game One: Keene State 3, Colby-Sawyer 0
In game one, KSC won in three sets by scores of 25-21, 25-15 and 25-14 to improve to 5-2.
The Owls were led by Madeleine Nossiff who had a game-high 10 kills and a .444 hitting percentage. Classmates Rachel Lamica and Angela Silveri poured in nine and eight kills, respectively. Alexis Michal added 14 assists and Brooke Bell finished with a double-double of 21 assists and 10 digs in the sweep.
The Owls hit .302 for the game compared to the Chargers .124 hitting percentage.
Game Two: Plymouth State 3, Keene State 1
The Owls dropped the second game by scores of 20-25, 22-25, 25-19 and 19-25. The loss does not count against their conference recrod and moves KSC to 5-3 on the season.
Christine Hadfield's 13 kills paced the Owls offense, followed by Silveri's 11. Setters Brooke Bell and Alexis Michal combined for assists and three Owls finished in double-digit digs.
Claire Sporer's 16 kills and 12 digs led the Panthers, while Dani Tabor added 14 kills and Kirsten Perrotta controlled the offense with 41 assists.
The Owls host Emmanuel (Mass.) Tuesday at 7:00 pm.
