Owls Top Framingham State, 3-1

KEENE, N.H. - Behind a strong offensive performance, Keene State earned a well-fought 3-2 victory over Framingham State Saturday afternoon at Spaulding Gymnasium in non-conference women's volleyball action.

The Owls (9-3, 1-0 LEC) are off to their best start under head coach Bob Weiner. Framingham State drops to 9-2 with the loss.

Leading the way for KSC was sophomore Rachel Lamica who recorded 13 kills to hit .385 and senior Christine Hadfield who finished with 10 kills and six digs. Brooke Bell and Alexis Michal were a dynamic duo, conducting an offense that produced 42 assists. Defensively, Riley Bunker, Alexis Michal and Angela Silveri recorded double-digit digs. 

 

For the visitors, Alycia Rackliffe finished with a game-high 18 kills hitting .268. Sarah Leonard poured in 28 assists, while Danielle Girard led the defensive effort with 16 digs.

Keene State hit .299 for the game compared to .182 for the visitors and finished with a season-high 15 total blocks.

KSC heads to UMass Boston Wednesday night at 7:00 pm in a crucial Little East Conference match with the Beacons.
