MEDFORD, Mass.--The Keene State College track and field team opened up 2016 at the Tufts No. 1 Invitational on Saturday.
The Keene State women finished sixth overall, while the men were seventh.
Women
- Elizabeth Buckley finished eighth overall in the 200 meters in 28.33.
- Katelyn Terry won the 400 meter dash in 1:00.85, which qualifies her for the New England Division III Championships.
- Lauren Markoe finished eighth in the 600 meters, in 1:44.21. Markoe was also sixth in the 1,000 meters, in 3:15.85.
- Lindsay Szuch was eighth in the 1,000 meters, in 3:21.68. She also added a fifth place finish in the 3,000 meters, with a time of 11:04.19.
- Buckley and Katelyn Terry, along with Lindsey Terry and Tyrah Urie, comprised the 4x200 meter relay team that finished fourth in 1:52.68.
- Amy Pereira was sixth in the long jump, with a leap of 4.64 meters.
- Karisa Bergman also qualified for the New England Division III Championships in the shot put, throwing 11.25 meters to place fifth. She also finished fifth in the weight throw, with a toss of 13.25 meters.
Men
- Devin Sanford was fourth in the 400 meter dash, clocking in at 52.91 seconds. Eric Dietz was right behind him at 53.52 seconds.
- Mark Rabasco was eighth in the 3,000 meters, in 9:12.71.
