BOSTON, Mass.--The Keene State College track and field team was all over the Boston area, as the Owls had athletes at both the Boston University Terrier Invitational and the Tufts Stampede the weekend.
Tufts Stampede
- The Keene State women finished eighth out of 18 teams with 26 points. Division II Stonehill won the women's meet with 173.50 points
- The men finished in 11th place out of 14, scoring nine points. Tufts won the men's meet by scoring 212.50
- Amy Pereira finished eighth overall in the 60 meter dash in 8.44 seconds, after placing second in her heat in 8.35 seconds. She also finished third in the long jump at 4.91 meters, and eighth in the shot put at 10.79 meters.
- Elizabeth Buckley was seventh in the 200 meter dash in 27.88 seconds
- Alison Brady was fourth in the 600 meter run in 1:44.16, while Alyssa Lombardi was sixth in 1:48.75.
- Pereira was also part of the 4x200 meter relay with Tyrah Urie, Elizabeth Buckley, and Hannah Balboni that finished fifth in 1:56.00.
- Karisa Bergman was sixth in the shot put with a toss of 11.41 meters. She was also eighth in the weight throw at 13.16 meters.
- Jared Hannon, Kody Parrott, Anthony Jennings, and Alex Medina comprised the 4x400 relay that finished seventh in 3:43.97.
Terrier Invitational
- Lauren Markoe and Katelyn Terry both vaulted into the top 48 nationally in the 800 meter run. Markoe ran in 2:19.93, and Terry finished in 2:20.39. Terry, who had already qualified for the New England Division III Championships, punched her ticket for the ECAC Division III Championships. Markoe qualified for both events as well.
- Also qualifying for the New England Division III Championships in the 800 meters was Brittany Gravallese, who ran a 2:26.53.
