KEENE, N.H.--Jensyn Dandeneau and Julia Babbitt each scored a pair of goals as the Keene State College field hockey team rolled to a 7-1 non-conference win over Johnson & Wales University (RI) on Tuesday night at Owl Athletic Complex

Tale of the Tape

  • Dandeneau and Babbitt had their first multi-goal games of the season.  Sami Smith, Erica Stauffer, and Brittney Cardente also got their names on the scoresheet.
  • Dandeneau and Mia Brickley also had a pair of assists.
  • The Owls outshot the Wildcats 19-4, and have now outscored opponents 22-3 in their current four game winning streak.
  • Gwen Thayer and Kendra Lonergan each made one save in net for the Owls.


First Half Highlights

  • Keene State was on the board within five minutes of the game beginning.  Sami Smith found Dandeneau alone in space, and the freshman beat JWU goalie Claire Nolan for her third of the season.
  • Dandeneau then turned provider in the 16th minute, setting up Erica Stauffer for her fourth goal in two games.

Second Half Highlights

  • The Owls blitzed the Wildcats early in the second half, scoring four times in seven minutes to break the game open.  The sophomore combination of Brickley to Babbitt got KSC on the board in the 39th minute.
  • Kayla Renaud's long pass up the field found Sami Smith all alone in front of the cage, and the senior easily beat Nolan to score her 21st goal of the year.
  • Cardente made it 4-0 in the 45th minute, stealing the ball from Johnson & Wales and beating Nolan through the legs for her second of the year.
  • Babbitt added another goal with Dandeneau's second assist of the game, and Dandeneau completed the scoring for KSC in the 54th minute, with Brickley providing another assist.
  • The Wildcats did get on the board in the 64th minute, with Kaylyn Forest's unassisted effort.
