Box Score KEENE, N.H. - The Keene State women's basketball program picked up a non-conference 56-49 win against Worcester State on Tuesday evening at Spaulding Gym. The Owls were able to thwart a fourth-quarter push from the visitors to collect its second straight win over the Lancers.

Tale of the Tape
- Keene State was dominant on rebounds over Worcester State, as the Owls owned a 55-42 advantage, and picked up eight steals to two.
- Junior guard Lydia Vital led with a game-high 12 points, and added five rebounds and one assist. Junior guard Sandi Purcell chipped in 11 points, five rebounds and two steals, while senior forward Amanda Petrow pulled down a season-high 14 rebounds, four steals and added eight points.
- Kaitlyn Berkel and Brianna Hackett each tallied 10 points for the Lancers, while Bianca Langford collected a team-high eight rebounds.
First and Second Quarter Highlights
- The Lancers got on the board first with a layup from Katie Suprenant, before a trey from first-year forward Rachel Bonnanzio and a layup from senior forward Stephanie D'Annolfo put Keene State in front for the remainder of the game.
- Langford answered with a layup for Worcester State before D'Annolfo tallied three points for the Owls' largest lead of the quarter with 7:11 remaining.
- The Lancers were able to cut its deficit to one with 1:02 remaining off of a layup from Berkel, before time expired with a 13-11, Keene State lead.
- The Owls opened up a six-point lead in the second capped off by a layup from Petrow with 5:55 remaining. Worcester State responded with a layup to make it a four-point game, before Keene State went on a 10-2 run to widen their lead to double-digits to make it 30-19 with 1:07 remaining in the stanza.
- Despite a layup from Emily Carens in the final minute, the Owls went into the break in front, 30-21.
Third and Fourth Quarter Highlights
- Back-and-forth baskets opened the third quarter, as a three-pointer from Vital pushed Keene State to a 14 point lead with 6:54 remaining.
- Worcester State did not go away easily, as the Lancers went on a 5-0 run, before Purcell finished a layup and a jumper to keep the Owls with a double-digit lead, as the third quarter finished 48-32, Keene State.
- In the fourth, the Owls earned its largest lead off a layup from Vital with 4:59 on the clock, but the Lancers went on an 11-0 run capped by back-to-back three pointers from Hackett to make it a six-point game, 53-47, Keene State, with 1:11 remaining.
- The Owls maintained their lead over the Lancers in the final minute, as Vital was able to convert one-of-two free throws and a layup to seal the win.
