BOSTON, Mass.--Lauren Markoe and Katelyn Terry continued their push towards a place at the NCAA Championships at the Valentine Invitational at Boston University on Friday night.
Terry ran the 400 meter dash in 57.84 seconds - converted to a flat track time, that is a mere .25 seconds from the school record of 57.59 seconds run by Sarah Miller in 2006. Depending on other results this weekend, Terry could be in the top 20 nationally. The top 22 times will qualify for the NCAA Championships March 11-12 at Grinnell College.
Markoe ran the 800 meters in 2:16.76 - depending on other results this weekend, she could be in the top 30 times. Markoe, who qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 800 meters as a sophomore, ran the third fastest time of her career.
