MIDDLETOWN, Conn.--Ashley Rozzi and Dominique Pascoal both had strong showings in the javelin as the Keene State College track and field team opened the season at the Wesleyan Spring Classic on Saturday.

Women's Highlights

• Rozzi threw an impressive 39.00 meters, good for fourth place overall and enough to qualify her for the New England Division III, Open New England, and ECAC Championships.  That currently ranks 17th nationally.  
• Pascoal had a toss of 37.15 meters, in sixth place, which punched her ticket for the New England Division III and ECAC Championships.  Pascoal is currently 32nd nationally.  The top 22 will compete at the NCAA Championships in May.  Melissa Wydra was eighth in the javelin at 30.47 meters.
• Katelyn Terry finished second in the 400 meter dash in 1:00.34, to qualify for the New England Division III Championships, and sister Lindsey Terry was third in 1:02.68.  Katelyn Terry also placed sixth in the triple jump in 10.44 meters.
• Brittany Gravallese was fifth in the 800 meters in 2:28.89, just head of teammate Alyssa Lombardi in 2:30.59.  
• Kait Wheeler won the 1,500 meter run in 4:51.21, to qualify for the New England Division III Championships.  Lombardi was sixth in 5:09.41.  Wheeler also won the 3,000 meters with a time of 10:12.96.
• Karisa Bergman will be going to the New England Division III Championships in the shotput, after placing fifth with a throw of 11.16 meters.

Men's Highlights

• Devin Sanford ran a 52.53 in the 400 meter dash to finish eighth overall.  Quentin Bazarnicki was sixth in the 800 meters in 2.04.72.
• Ryan Brady was sixth in the 1,500 meter run in 4:16.80, while Mark Rabasco was fifth in the 3,000 meters in 9:09.92.
• Jared Hannon qualified for the New England Division III Championships with a third place finish in the long jump, in 6.42 meters.  Alex Magoon will also be going in the javelin with a third place finish in 50.89 meters.
