Box Score 2 WESTFIELD, Mass.--Kristin Boduch was 4-for-4 with a run as the Keene State College softball team split a road doubleheader with Westfield State University on Thursday night. Keene State won the opener 6-5, then dropped the second game 3-0.

How It Happened - Game One
- Keene State pounded out 16 hits in a come-from-behind win. Morgan Fallon and Jen Galavotti each had three hits. Courtney Votto had two. Mariah Crisp pitched the final four innings, allowing one hit to pick up her second save, and Fallon earned the win with 2/3 of an inning of relief.
- KSC fell behind in the bottom of the first as Angelica Banning and Erika Gouin both drew a bases loaded walk, and Miread Kelly had a fielder's choice that made it 3-0.
- Keene State tied the game in the top of the third when a fielder's choice and an error allowed Stephanie Long and Kayla Votto to reach. Fallon smacked a double to center field to bring them in, and Galavotti doubled to the same spot to plate Fallon.
- Westfield State went back on top in the bottom of the third on a sacrifice fly by Banning and a solo homer by Gouin. KSC responded in the fourth when an error allowed Courtney Votto and Kristin Boduch to score, and Heather Pelletier drove in Kayla Votto with the go-ahead run.
- Crisp slammed the door shut the rest of the way, striking out seven allowing just a one-out single to Bri Totora in the bottom of the fourth.
How It Happened - Game Two
- The Owl defense allowed three unearned runs, and the bats could not get going in a 3-0 loss. Kayla Votto and Olivia Indorf both had a pair of singles. Molly St. Germain took the loss with 3.1 innings in the circle, notching three strikeouts.
- Westfield State got all the runs they needed when they scored three times in the fourth. An error allowed leadoff hitter Julia Sullivan to reach, and Gouin singled her in with a hit to center. Liz Kelly and Emma Dunbar added RBI singles in the frame to make it 3-0.
- Keene State did not get a runner past first base until the fourth inning, when Fallon walked and took second on a wild pitch. She moved to third on Olivia Indorf's groundout, but was left stranded when Brittany DaMota grounded out.
- KSC's best chance came in the fifth, as Boduch reached on a fielder's choice and Kayla Votto drew a walk. A wild pitch moved both runners up, and Pelletier walked to load the bases, but Fallon struck out to end the threat.
- The Owls also threatened in the seventh on consecutive singles by Long and Kayla Votto, and both moved up on Pelletier's groundout. Fallon grounded out to third as the game ended.
