FITCHBURG, Mass.--The Keene State College track and field team warmed up for the Little East Conference Championships at the Eric Loeschner Invitational at Fitchburg State University on Saturday.
Keene State will return to Fitchburg in two weeks for the LEC Championships. The final tuneup will be next week at Springfield College for the Springfield Invitational.
Women's Highlights
- Katelyn Terry was sixth in the 200 meter dash in 26.55. She was also second in the 400 meter dash in 58.27, and Lindsey Terry was third in 1:00.22, and Alison Brady was fourth in 1:01.29.
- Kait Wheeler won the 800 meters in 2:24.37, with Brittany Gravallese in third in 2:24.94. Wheeler also took first in the steeplechase in 11:36.62, qualifying for the New England Division III and ECAC Championships.
- Lauren Markoe won the 1,500 meters in 4:55.50, and Lindsay Szuch was seventh in 5:04.58. Alyssa Lombardi was seventh in the 5,000 meters in 20:06.57.
- Katelyn Terry was also seventh in the triple jump with a leap of 10.22. Ashley Rozzi was third in the javelin at 36.88 meters, and Dominique Pascoal was sixth at 34.40 meters.
Men's Highlights
- Devin Sanford and Eric Dietz ran 2-3 in the 400 meter dash, with Sanford coming in with a time of 50.99 and Dietz crossing the line in 51.39. Sanford's time qualifies him for the New England Division III Championships.
- Matt Dudley was fifth in the 1,500 meters in 4:17.90, just ahead of Mark Rabasco, who was sixth in 4:19.00.
- Ian Connell was third in the 5,000 meters in 16:03.58, and Phil Parent was third in the 10,000 meters in 32:30.26. Parent's time is good to qualify for the New England Division III and Open New England Championships.
- Ryan Brady placed third in the steeplechase in 10:05.00. Jared Hannon won the long jump with a bound of 6.75 meters. Quentin Bazarnicki was seventh in the triple jump at 12.13 meters.
- Alex Magoon was sixth in the javelin in 49.86 meters.
