Box Score 2 DANBURY, Conn.--Senior Stephanie Long was 4-for-5 with a double, two RBI, and three runs scored as the Keene State College softball team pounded out a 13-8 win over Western Connecticut State University in the nightcap of a doubleheader at Westside Field on Saturday. The Colonials took game one 2-1 in 11 innings.

How It Happened - Game One
- Senior Mariah Crisp tossed 10.1 innings in the circle, striking out nine and allowing three hits - just one before the 11th inning, but the Colonials scored twice in the bottom of the 11th to walk off with the win.
- Kayla Votto and Jen Galavotti both had two hits for Keene State. The Owls' best chance in regulation came in the fourth inning when Galavotti was hit by a pitch and Olivia Indorf walked with two out, but the inning ended on a fielder's choice.
- Crisp worked out of a jam in the seventh inning, cutting down Candace Lawrence at the plate after she had reached on an error and striking out Erin Weber with the winning run on third base.
- Keene State broke up the scoreless game in the top of the 11th. Long was placed on second to open the game, and came all the way around on an error by WCSU right fielder Jenna Gaudioso.
- The Colonials won the game when Alexandra LaFemina doubled in two runs in the bottom of the frame.
How it Happened - Game Two
- Keene State had one its best offensive games of the season, cranking out 13 hits in support of Molly St. Germain, who struck out five in 6.2 innings in the circle.
- In addition to Long's strong game at the plate, Galavotti was 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI, and five other players had at least one hit.
- St. Germain supported her own cause with a double, an RBI, and two runs scored, while Brittany DaMota had a triple, and Morgan Fallon knocked in two runs and crossed the plate three times.
- KSC struck for two runs in the first when Long singled, took second when Fallon walked, and came around on Galavotti's RBI single. Indorf added another run with an RBI groundout.
- The Colonials got one back in the first and took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the third thanks to RBI hits from Maegan Rodriguez and Michaela Roche.
- Keene State hit back with a seven run fourth inning. The Owls sent 10 batters to the plate, starting with Indorf's leadoff single. She came around on DaMota's triple to left-center, and St. Germain brought in DaMota with a double down the left field line.
- Long kept the rally going with a two out single, and after Heather Pelletier walked, Fallon stroked a double to left-center, and Galavotti greeted reliever Jaclyn Smith with a two-run homer to right, her second longball of the year.
- Keene State added three more in the sixth and another in the seventh to keep the Colonials at bay. WCSU tried to rally, scoring three times in the seventh, but reliever Leah Rowe got LaFemina to hit into a fielder's choice to end the contest.
