SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--Katelyn Terry, Philip Parent, Alex Magoon, and Jared Hannon all earned All-Region honors at the New England Division III Championships at Springfield College on Saturday afternoon.
The Keene State women finished in 27th place out of 30 teams, while the men were 22nd out of 228.
Women's Highlights
- Katelyn Terry was fourth overall in the 400 meter dash, finishing in 57.44 seconds. Lindsey Terry was 17th in the same event, in 1:00.55. The Terrys, along with Brittany Gravallese and Alyssa Lombardi, comprised the 4x800 meter relay team that came in ninth in 9:38.90.
- Katelyn Terry was also 14th in the triple jump at 10.16 meters.
- Lindsay Szuch was 14th in the 5,000 meters, in 18:35.98.
- Karisa Bergman was 12th in the shot put with a throw of 11.04 meters, while Ashley Rozzi and Dominique Pascoal were 10th and 11, respectively, in the javelin. Rozzi threw 36.59 meters, with Pascoal throwing 35.69 meters.
Men's Highlights
- Parent posted a seventh place finish in the 5,000 meters in 15:07.94, while Mark Rabasco was 14th in the event in 15:50.82.
- Ryan Brady ran the steeplechase in 9:51.23. The 4x400 meter relay team of Quentin Bazarnicki, Jared Hannon, James Stergis-Cox, and Alex Medina were 12th in 3:29.48.
- Kody Parrott, Matt Dudley, Ryan Brady, and Tyler Dechane also finished 12th in the 4x800 meter relay in 8:04.32.
- Hannon finished fourth in the long jump with a bound of 6.68 meters, while Alex Magoon was fourth in the javelin in 53.67 meters.
Qualified participants will compete next weekend at the Open New England Championships.
