- Keene State continued to pepper the Westfield State goal with shots, but a pair of defensive saves and strong play by Fountaine in goal kept KSC off the scoreboard.
- Westfield State trimmed the lead to 2-1 with eight minutes remaining, following a WSU timeout. Meg Doherty controlled a loose ball in the circle and scored just the second goal KSC has allowed in league play this year.
- Keene State put the idea of a comeback to rest, as Smith put her name at the top of yet another statistical record book by scoring an unassisted goal with 3:26 remaining in the contest.
