KEENE, N.H.--The Keene State College track and field team returned to action at the non-scoring Tufts Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Women's Highlights
Amanda Deppert was second in the 60 meter dash, crossing the line in 8.30 seconds, while the Owls also got top-8 finishes in the 600 meters from Nicole De Almeida (fifth, 1:46.00), Brittany Gravallese (sixth, 1:47.41), and Taylor Bisaillon (eighth, 1:49.73).
The Owls placed three of the top four runners in the mile, including Lynne Hebert in second in 5:24.06, Lauren Perkowski in third in 5:27.45, and Laura Dawson in fourth in 5:32.56). Skyle Gauthier was third in the 60 meter hurdles in in 10.16. De Almeida, Gravallese, Bisaillon, and Gauthier made up the 4x400 meter relay that was third in 4:22.99.
Dawson, Hebert, Mila Barrera, and Perkowski comprised the 4x800 meter relay unit that was second in 10:25.33. Shannon Parks was sixth in the shot put, with a toss of 11.22 meters.
Men's Highlights
Jared Hannon won the long jump in 6.46 meters, while Caleb Steever finished in a tie for second in the high jump at 1.95 meters.
Tyler DeChane was eighth in the 1,000 meters in 2:42.28. Hannon, Brandon Castor, Anthony Jennings, and Alex Medina made up the 4x400 meter relay team that was in fifth place in 3:36.66. DeChane, Zach Coburn, Jackson Brannen, and Iid Sheikh-Yusuf were the members of the 4x800 meter relay team that was second in 8:54.61.
Angel Ramirez finished in seventh place in the 60 meter dash in 7.27 seconds.
