LEWISTON, Maine--Skyler Gauthier was outstanding in the pentathlon as members of the Keene State College track and field teams took part in different meets over the weekend.
In the Bates Invitational in Maine, Gauthier scored 3,010 points, currently the fifth best total in all of NCAA Division III.  She ran the 800 meters in 2:34.86, and the 60 meter hurdles in 9.84 seconds. She also had a leap of 1.50 meters in the high jump and had a jump of 4.94 meters in the long jump, before capping the event by throwing the shotput 9.10 meters. The 3,010 points easily qualified her for the New England Division III Championships.
Meanwhile, in Medford, Mass., Nicole De Almeida ran the 200 meters in 28 seconds flat, and the 400 meters in 1:02.05, finshing third overall in the 400 meters. Brandon Castor ran the 200 meter dash in 24.33, and the 60 meter dash in 7.47 seconds. Ryan Sullivan was at 1.80 meters in the high jump and 5.91 meters in the long jump. Â
The season continues for KSC next week at the Terrier Classic at Boston University.
