BOSTON, Mass.--Sophomore Shannon Parks and junior Ben Musese set a new school records as the Keene State College track and field team competed in a pair of meets in the Boston area over the weekend.
Valentine Invitational
Musese had a triple jump of 14.20 meters, breaking his own mark of 14.18 that was set just three weeks ago. The mark of 14.20 meters is currently tied with Brody Coleman of Mount Union for the 20th best mark in the country.
Jacob Pearl ran the 3,000 meters in 8:40.84 to qualify for the New England Division III Championships, and also qualified in the mile in 4:23.26. Robby St. Laurent also qualified for New England Division III in the 3,000, in 8:48.08. Brandon Castor punched his ticket in the 400 meter dash, in 50.90, while also running the 200 meters in 23.20.

Parks threw the shot put 12.21 meters, edging past Samantha Hirsch's mark of 12.19 meters set in 2006. Christina Martin ran the 5,000 meters in 20:02.51, while Nicole De Almeida finished the 600 meters in 1:45.79. Skyler Gauthier ran the 800 meters in 2:25.69.
