How it Happened
It took less than two minutes for the Owls to get on the board, as
Alexa Skinner sent in a corner kick that was side-footed home by captain
Alex Kennedy. Less than two minutes later, the Anchorwomen had tied the game, when Serena Forte pounced on a rebound from Mac Parker-Christou.
The Owls had the better chances, outshooting RIC 9-4 in the first half, but could not score as teams went into the break knotted at one.
In the second half, Keene State kept pressing, as
Victoria Reynolds had the first chance of the period. The Owls finally broke through five minutes into the second half, as Callahan's shot from six yards grazed the fingertips of RIC goalie Regan Kerecz and skipped into the net.
Marshall added an insurance tally in the 66th minute with an unassisted goal.
Rebecca Koziara made five stops to pick up her third win of the year.
